Can You Manifest by Typing? (Typing vs. Writing)

There are different techniques people can use to manifest their desires. One of these ways is manifesting by writing.

However, when we consider the ways manifesting works, some questions can arise like “Can you manifest by typing instead?” and “How effective is typing when manifesting?”

After all, typing can be considered a form of writing, right?

Can you manifest by Typing? People can manifest by typing. However, manifesting by typing may not be as effective as manifesting by writing. Most people do see better results with writing their manifestations because writing is a process that involves deeper concertation and more cognitive processing compared to typing.

We all know that manifesting can be pretty tricky, and there are many different things that we need to consider. So let’s take a more in-depth look.

Writing vs. Typing

To many people typing and writing may seem fairly similar. Like the two sides of a single coin. But are they really? Or are they more different than expected?

For this, I decided to do a little research, and I found a few very interesting studies.

  • One study discovered that people are better at recalling and recognizing vocabulary words after writing them compared to typing them.
  • Another study found out that it is easier to recall notes that have been written down using pen and paper compared to typing them.
  • And a third study concluded that students taking notes while writing them down also tend to perform better and had a better conceptual understanding of the material than the ones typing them on a computer.

When it comes down to the basics, we need to consider whether or not typing on a keyboard is as effective as writing using a pen or a pencil.

On a fundamental level, typing and writing are very similar. They are just different forms of action.
When it comes to manifesting one’s desires, the action is an integral part of the whole process.

People have been discussing the subtle differences between typing and writing manifestations. And the thing is different people report different results. Some people have seen results by typing their manifestations, while others report seeing better results by writing their manifestations instead.

Over the years, I have seen that writing usually is a lot more effective when it comes to studying compared to typing. So is it such a stretch to suggest that writing is also a lot more effective than typing due to (or at least partly due to) the same reasons?

Typing on a computer, a tablet, or a phone is believed to involve a lot less cognitive processing of what is actually being transcribed. Writing involves much deeper cognitive processing. This happens due to a number of different reasons, like the need to seethe through the information and write down only the important notes. But even if one is not in a hurry, writing still seems to be more effective.

But in a way, it can be argued that writing something down will allow us to reach and imprint it deeper into our subconscious mind.

Is typing as effective as writing when manifesting?

One aspect that should not be overlooked and underestimated is how you feel when you write versus when you type your manifestations.

Writing is considered by many to be a lot more involving and demanding.

While writing, people will usually be more concentrated and feel like an integral part of the whole process of writing their manifestations.

Wiring often evokes a deeper connection. Writing is also a physical act that can be felt and experienced.

Writing is deliberate.

It takes more time than tapping on a few buttons on a keyboard for a few seconds. This means writing takes longer, allowing you to ground yourself in the moment feel more present and mindful about what you are doing and how you are feeling.

In comparison, when typing, most people will feel as if they are a little more detached from the whole process of putting down their thoughts and desires.

The whole process of typing tends to be fairly shallow.

Some people may be led to believe that simply quickly typing out a few of their desires on their phone or computer will be enough, and they will not try to really do the whole process of manifesting properly. However, scripting that way is not going to be effective.

All in all, typing is not considered as effective as writing when it comes to manifesting. However, that does not mean typing your manifestations cannot work. It simply means that manifesting by typing may be trickier and more difficult to do right.

This brings us nicely to the next question, which is should you do it.

Should you type your manifestations?

Although both writing and typing may seem like the same thing on the outside—putting letters on a medium—they are very different on the inside.

Something which could mean the difference between a successful manifestation and an unsuccessful one.

Writing connects the mind and the body in a special way that cannot be achieved easily with typing.

Typing is streamlined and allows people to write something down a lot quicker than they would normally be able to do while writing on paper. Thus typing may be better for people who are interested in expanding their ideas and thoughts in order to make them more concise in the future or simply want to put down their thoughts and feelings in a faster way.

Writing is slower. It is a process that calls for more involvement and focus.

While writing your manifestations, most people will usually feel more involved. It seems that the process of writing requires a more focused conscious effort on your part.

Writing also feels a little more concrete as it is actually something physical, existing in the physical world instead of something existing in the virtual world on a computer.

The sentences people are recommended to use when manifesting are supposed to be rather concise and short, to typing begin with, so how quickly you write should not be a problem.

Typically the majority of people will see better results with writing their manifestations, but some may see good results with typing them, too.

At the end of the day, all that matters is how you feel about it and what the results you get are. While some people can get good results with typing their manifestations, many may find writing to be a lot more effective when it comes to manifesting their desires.

If you are unsure, try scripting with pen and paper and observe how you feel. Then do it by typing on your computer or phone. Again, observe your inner feelings. Do you feel confident in your scripting? Do you sense any blocks? Any uncertainty?

Be as honest about it with yourself as you can. If you feel like you do not believe scripting on your phone or laptop is as good as writing with pen and paper, then typing may not be worthwhile for you.

On the other hand, do you feel calmer and more at ease when typing your manifestations as opposed to writing them on a piece of paper where anybody can see them? In this case, typing on your phone or computer may be worth a shot.

Experimentation and keeping an open mind are always recommended.
